Splunk Add-on for Amazong Web Services: Is it possible to have to the configuration forwarding password masked?

Is it possible to have the configuration forwarding password masked on this add-on?

From what I am reading, if you configure the command forwarding it will store the password as plaintext in the configuration file (which we do not want).

I was doing some testing and passwords used for the forwarding are indeed masked/encrypted.
