found a solution to this issue, try seeing what port splunk web is setup in web.conf in $Splunk_Home/etc/system/default.
for my instance somehow it was set to 8002
check if you are able to get the login page at http://localhost:8002

when splunk is installed on windows 10 i am getting this error while trying to access splunkweb. Have anyone faced this issue earlier, any help on this matter would be very helpful
