Is there any documentation stating the compatibility of the JRE version and the dbconnect App?

It seems that jre version 9 is not compatible with the latest version of dbconnect (3.1.2). But it has not been stated Specifically.
Is there any documentation which states the compatibility of various jre versions with dbconnect. Need this for compliance.

Error with 9:

You need JRE version 8 to use DBConnect 3.1.2. I've updated the documentation. Thanks!

Its working with version 8 but not working with the latest version of JRE (9.0.4)released on January 16, 2018.
Is there a way to make it work with 9.0.4. Could you share the expected time line for releasing the update to support version 9.
