Is there a tool available to pull data from an external client's machine?

I am looking for a tool to sit on my client's server that pulls/ polls data from a db and sends it to my splunk server via email, sftp, etc.. on a time specified basis (daily). The servers are external to my network. I know I can connect directly to the db, but there are firewall / security rules in place that will prevent that. I thought I saw an out of the box tool on the splunk website, but cant seem to find it again.

thanks for your help. if you know of a tool that isn't a splunk tool, that would be great as well.

I'm not sure a Splunk tool would be necessary. On most operating systems it wouldn't be difficult to create a script to dump the data you want from the database and sftp it to your Splunk host for indexing on a daily basis.
