How to create multiple connections in inputs for database monitoring in Splunk DB connect app?

I wanted to create 300+ connections with almost 1200 inputs from Splunk DB connect app for database monitoring in testing the environment. Will that be a fair idea to do? Also is there any other alternative for this?
