How to collect and continuously monitor Excel filed data from sharepoint path?

I need a help from you..
I need to collect and continuously monitor Excel filed data from sharepoint path, Please help me out in what approach it can be done ..

Since Splunk cannot natively read excel files, I guess you'd need to create a script that periodically downloads the excel from Sharepoint, translates it into CSV data or so and then feed that to Splunk.

We don't want to consider excel file.
I have a CSV file right now with me .. Let me know how to process it into splunk from sharepoint path
