I have followed this guide provided by Catchpoint.
https://support.catchpoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/211011106-Splunk-Integration-Guide
and I am unable to get any data into Splunk. Contacted support and they were going to open up a ticket for me but I don't really have time to wait. I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried to install this app and actually got it to work. Did the app work right out the box ? or did you have to follow some other steps other than the ones outlined in the guide.
Hi,
We found that an issue with the app has been preventing some users from being able to get data through a proxy. I'm not sure if that is the issue you have, but we haven't heard reports of the app not working without a proxy.
We plan on releasing a new version very soon. It will address the proxy problem, add some optimizations, and includes the ability to alert data in addition to performance data.

Honestly I'm not sure what the issue is. The only thing I see in the app_catchpoint.log is
2017-02-15 14:59:25,598 INFO app_catchpoint:90 - stream_events err:
2017-02-15 14:59:25,598 INFO app_catchpoint:90 - stream_events err:
2017-02-15 14:59:25,599 INFO app_catchpoint:91 - 'access_token'
2017-02-15 14:59:25,599 INFO app_catchpoint:91 - 'access_token'
I'm currently working on this at my job and I think we are behind a proxy im going to test this when I get home and see if I could get any data on my local dev instance. Is there any ETA on when the app will release an update? Also is there any workaround to this?
I have also set verbose to true inside of the auth_handler.py script but nothing useful is in the logs..
We are hoping to be able to get an update out by the end of the month.
I understand you don't have time to wait, but our support team should be able to help get a resolution soon. Can you please send the splunk logs and the catchpoint log as attachments in your support ticket?
Understood will do!
