Getting errors related to sfdc account not setup in Splunk app for Salesforce

We are trying to configure the splunk app for salesforce : https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1931/ and isnt getting configured correctly and throws the following error :

Log from splunkd.log :
03-29-2017 01:24:03.165 -0400 INFO ExecProcessor - message from "python /apps/splunk/etc/apps/splunk-app-sfdc/bin/sfdc_object.py" The SFDC account has not set up

Rest call log :
2017-03-29 01:24:03,832 ERROR 140624372709120 - Failed to send rest request=https://127.0.0.1:8089/servicesNS/nobody/splunk/configs/conf-sfdc/sfdc_account, errcode=404, reason=Requested endpoint does not exist.

Even though the account is setup properly @ the salesforce end.

Update: @bhavesh91 is trying the BETA Splunk Add-on for Salesforce.

@bhavesh91 - Did the Beta solve your challenge here? If so, would you select this as the accepted answer so other folks easily see the path?

Side conversation shows this might be related to a proxy. At this time, the add on does not support proxies.

did you try to connect to sfdc workbench using the same username and running the same query account query. If it fails, it is most likely permission related.

The connection to the workbench worked as expected - its only when the splunk app connection doesn't work and shows up the above error.

Also do we need to keep a check of the Python version that we use on the system where the splunk and salesforce app deployed , could you please let me know if that could cause the issue ?

Also whether its due to the splunk libraries not present under the ta_util ?

I am not sure how do I reach out to Elias Haddad who is the builder of the Salesforce app , can someone help ?

Also wanted to check if anyone has been successfully been able to setup the salesforce app ?
If Yes can someone help on this issue and provide the instructions on the setup to work successfully.
