Can you edit a CIDR-enabled lookup table in the Lookup Editor?

New Member

if I have a CIDR-based column, can I edit it in the lookup editor without removing the CIDR capabilities of that column?

Yes, it ought to work (assuming you are using the cidrmatch functionality defined in transforms.conf). I specifically designed a scenario based on this question and tested it just to make sure and it worked for me (at least on Lookup Editor 3.0.4).

The reason it ought to work is that the cidrmatch is defined in transforms.conf and the Lookup Editor doesn't change this value. The app will prompt you to create the transform entry if you don't already have one when you click "Open in Search" from the editor. It ought not to do this for you since you presumably already have one defined.

You might want to confirm the Lookup Editor can see your existing transforms.conf entry by opening the lookup in the editor and clicking the "Open in Search" button and make sure it goes directly to the search page without asking you to make a transforms.conf entry.
