Can the Splunk Add-on for F5 BIG-IP be used with Splunk Light?

The Splunk Add-on for F5 BIG-IP documentation (http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/AddOns/latest/F5BIGIP/Hardwareandsoftwarerequirements) specifically references installation in Splunk Light without going into any detail on how to install it.

It seems that Splunk Light doesn't support any add-ons that aren't available in the Data->Add-ons menu, but as the docs specifically reference Light as an option, it's not completely clear.

Can anyone advise:
1. Does the F5 plugin work on Splunk Light?
2. Is it supported?

Thanks,
Phil

No, it does not. Splunk Light only supports the add-ons in the Data > Add-ons menu, as you state. The individual add-on docs have generic links to all the install instructions, including Splunk Cloud and Splunk Light, but each add-on document does not maintain information about whether they are currently supported in all those locations, as the list of add-ons supported in Light and Cloud changes.

For up to date information about add-ons supported in Splunk Light see https://splunkbase.splunk.com/apps/#/page/1/product/lite/order/latest , or the list in Data > Add-ons within the Splunk Light UI.
