(Reference image below, there is a similar menu for ad-hoc searches and visualizations as well). If you're editing XML, you can set the <CODE>charting.drilldown</CODE> option to <CODE>none</CODE>. As those panles are using html and JS i dont even see the option to EDIT the panels.
