Hi,

I have created a python file "newapp.py", which does the normal search operation. I run it on console and get the respective result from it.
Now I need to know while creating an application for Splunk:

1) Where do I put this newapp.py file?

2) How does my application will come to know, which file to take?

3) How to show my output on Splunk web?

Kindly help

Hi,
I have tried the steps mentioned in above link. But I see no output after restarting Splunk. I have placed my python file in bin folder of the app and defined the call in commands.conf file. Am I doing anything wrong??
