bin/splunk nom on /path/to/file.log -index foo

Give it a shot with a file ~100MB in size. It's good for testing, so you'll likely want to send it to a temporary index.

In the log of db_connect app named "splunk_app_db_connect_server.log", I found a vomiting bear or a weird dragon without tail.
