Hi,

Does anyone know if there is support to grab the messages from a queue for example in ActiveMQ?

Hi Matthew,

A Splunk Messaging solution is in the pipeline, this will use JMS as the standard interface on top of many underlying providers (amqp,hornetq,activemq,native jms,mq etc... ).

In the meantime, there is this app on Splunkbase that could potentially be tweaked to use with an ActiveMQ provider.

Just an update..I have a new Splunk 5.0 Modular Input project on Github.
And the first modular input I have created is for JMS messaging.
This will be published to Splunkbase very shortly as testing and trials complete.
But in the interim you are welcome to try the version on github.

Is there anything like that for producing message in a JMS queue after reading it in a variable from splunk logs.

Only consuming and indexing currently. No message publishing.
