topic Create Input From MySQL DB with MySQL Connector? in Splunk Search

is it possible to create an input with MySQL connector that watches the database for new results? I do this with a scripted input but an easier way would be to create as saved search that watches for new records, if it finds them pulls them in.

The answer is no, the MySQL Connector does not allow this.

But there is a solution:
I installed Splunks DB Connect Application. This application allows you to create splunk data inputs that monitor database tables.
