      <description>&lt;P&gt;It would seem Splunk does not have permissions to write. Confirm the user Splunk runs as has ownership of the installation and that there are no storage issues.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;chown -R splunk:splunk /mnt/*&lt;/P&gt;</description>
