    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.splunk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/161352"&gt;@gcusello&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A day before this error, we had a patching on universal forwarder , indexer and search head. Please verify uri-scheme, connectivity to the search peer, that the search peer is up, and an adequate level of system resources are available.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.splunk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/222802"&gt;@rahul2gupta&lt;/a&gt;,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;you have an infrastructural problem on you Splunk, your search head cannot reach the Indexer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So check:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;if the Indexer is up and running,&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;the network is ok&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;if the certificate for SSL is still valid.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you don't solve, open a case to Splunk Support.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ciao.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Giuseppe&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
