      <description>&lt;P&gt;@palisetty this behavior seems odd. Search mode should not change while the search is being executed. So can you &lt;BR /&gt;
1. Provide your Splunk version&lt;BR /&gt;
2. SPL query you are trying to run&lt;BR /&gt;
3. Time Range selected&lt;BR /&gt;
4. Screenshots for Search execution where search mode changes from Smart to Verbose.&lt;/P&gt;
