the quick answer is YES! I can see doing it using the Status Indicator custom visualization here: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/3119/

This way you can build your Xs and checks and set them to the various statuses based on your search.

I recently started playing with embedded SVG objects in Splunk Dashboards. To do this you can use something like draw.io to make your SVG drawing which you want to overlay data or whatever onto. Take your svg export and paste the text code into an html block within your dashboard. From there you can use tokens to fill in divs with additional image objects or search result objects.
