That worked great. Off and running creating the app now. Thanks!

Guys,

I know this might be a stupid question, but ive been struggling with it for some time now. Basically, i have create a new application. Under that application I have created a view, but i wanted a dashboard. If i click on the dashboard menu it only shows a straight line. (i.e. no options at all) I know im probably missing something basic here, but I have combed through all the docs and google searches I can.

Thanks,

A dashboard is a type of view. "View" is the overarching term for dashboards, forms, and any other sort of view. The terminology is not very precise.

However, if you have created a view of any sort, and it is not showing up on the drop-down menu where you want, you probably need to edit your navigation menu. You might want to look at the Build Navigation section in the Developing Views and Apps for Splunk Web manual.

If that doesn't fix your problem, perhaps the XML for your dashboard is invalid.
