How to call web services or open shell by Splunk?

Hi everyone,

I would like to call a web service from a splunk dashboard to a unix machine.

Inside my dashboard I create an XML string that I copy and paste onto the unix machine.

How can I optimize this process?

The purpose is the one that once generated the XML string can send it to my unix machine.

I'm so sorry if I wasn't so clear.
I made an xml string and it has to be sent to the vm unix which it has to call the web service.
As you can see from the attached file, I suppose that's the better way to do this process but I'm not able to do the customscript.
Could you be able to explain to me how to solve my problem?
