How do you create apps in Splunk Cloud?

Hi Splunkers,

Why am I not able to see Create App option in Splunk Cloud (Version 6.6.3.2)? There is option to only Install App. Please help!

This is by design. You need to open a ticket for app installation. Otherwise you can create new dashboards normally and placing them in the Search App Context.

Add this to your URL to get to the Create App button
/en-US/manager/launcher/apps/local?redirect=false,Add this to your URL and it gives you the Create App option
/en-US/manager/launcher/apps/local?redirect=false

This is not a valid workaround. I've done this and still needed to open a ticket with support. The app may be created and it may look OK on the surface, but you may encounter permissions problems in the future because this link doesn't create the app in the right way.

by design ? by very bad design as requests will create delay for a few days
