topic How to allow a freeform input in a multiselect input box? in Dashboards & Visualizations

I have a multiselect input box with a dynamic search that is supposed to populate the multiselect with a list of hosts to choose from.

The problem is that I want to be able to allow someone to type in a host that might not have been found within the search timeframe of that multiselect.

In other words, I would like to have the multiselect provide values, but also allow a value not found in the dynamic list.

I don't believe multi-select has that capability. You may have to create a separate textbox to capture user input.
