I'm using a dashboard template for different departments, but I need to change the search name, depending on the department.

As the department name is in the folder path, I was hoping to just grab the Dashboard's current folder path and auto-adjust the search depending on the path.

Is there a way for a simple xml dashboard to detect what folder path it currently is in?

These would be the Dashboard URL to directly enter the Manager Dashboard.

https://my.main.url.com:8000/en-US/app/Dept_Acct/Manager_Dashboard?earliest=0&latest=
https://my.main.url.com:8000/en-US/app/Dept_Finc/Manager_Dashboard?earliest=0&latest=
https://my.main.url.com:8000/en-US/app/Dept_ISIT/Manager_Dashboard?earliest=0&latest=

Each department has its own index, and I am looking to extract Dept name from the URL from within the Dashboard, so I can put it in a token for index searches within the Dashboard.

This would save me from having to make 40+ Dashboards with just one line changed within each Dashboard.

Modify your querys main search in one dashboard to search for multiple indexes and then, use "Search Restrictions" on roles to filter them by department.
