    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;does editing ES roles on &lt;A href="https://www.splunk.com/en_us/blog/security/assigning-role-based.html" target="_self"&gt;Permissions page&lt;/A&gt; is same as editing ES roles in &lt;A href="https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/ES/7.3.1/Install/ConfigureUsersRoles" target="_self"&gt;Splunk's native edit role page&lt;/A&gt;?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I guess they both point to ES authorize.conf but native's one can work with custom roles?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
