      <title>Fatal Python error</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I installed splunk on sparc sun OS.&lt;BR /&gt;
so, I downloaded splunk for sparc sun OS, then installed.&lt;BR /&gt;
But splunk don't start.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Error Message is&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Fatal Python error: Failed to read bytes from /dev/urandom&lt;BR /&gt;
ERROR: pid 16134 terminated with signal 6 (core dumped)&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Any ideas on how to resolve this would be great.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I see, that's "Solaris 8" in new parlance? Look into patch 112438 for sparc systems, that should get you /dev/urandom.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
