Splunk was unable to install

Dear all,
I am trying to install splunk in my 32-bit windows 7.

I will get errors during installation as
1. Splunk Installer was unable to launch Splunks Pre Flight Checks. Error code:8
2. Splunk Installer was unable to launch Splunks First time Run. Error code:8

Please help

have you started the install with admin permissions? see -> run as admin

Thanks for reply.

Ya i tried to run as admin and also made sure port 8000 is not used by any.
Still problem prevails.
Any other idea ?

well there are plenty of answers about installing on Windows 7 http://splunk-base.splunk.com/search/?q=install+windows+7&Submit=Search have you checked them?

MuS i checked them all. But doesnt solve my problem.

I have run as admin, de-compiled the MSI. Nothing I try will install ver 5. I have upgraded all other versions with no problem.
