Have you tried installing from the CLI instead?

The description of the Splunk Machine learning toolkit goes like this:

The Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit enables you to detect, predict and prevent what matters most to your organization. Modeling assistants, interactive examples and tutorials help you create and operationalize your own predictive analytics.

And this is exactly what I am looking for too.

In order to install this, I went to Splunkbase and downloaded: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/2890/

However, when I go to "Install app from file" and selects the splunk-machine-learning-toolkit_420.tgz file and uploads, nothing happens.

Please help.

I am using Splunk Enterprise Free version (60 Days Trial)

Hi,
I have resolved this myself.
There was this dependency app "Python for Scientific Computing"
I could install the Machine Learning Toolkit successfully after installing the Python app.
