&lt;P&gt;I have just installed the developer license in splunk but I am unable to login with my credentials. I have also tried to login from the Admin credentials also but it is owing &lt;STRONG&gt;Invalid username and password&lt;/STRONG&gt;. &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Any suggestions. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Adding a license doesnt effect the user or password tables. Were you using LDAP or SAML before? &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you're unable to login, you can try renaming &lt;STRONG&gt;$splunk_home$/etc/passwd&lt;/STRONG&gt; to passwd.old, and restarting Splunk. This will reset the admin password to the default &lt;EM&gt;changeme&lt;/EM&gt;. From there you can login again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
