Hi any one know ..why I am getting an error while installing splunk enterprise setup ..I get the error as splunk enterprise setup ended prematurely because an error. Your system has not been modified...if any one knows the answer please help ..me

If you are installing on Linux and using a non-root user it can fail because /opt is owned by root.

Try using sudo or the root user, or create a /opt/splunk subdirectory and chown it to splunk:splunk.
