I've been attempting to set a url for our single instance of Splunk. Right now we've been accessing it at http://servername:8000, but what I'm looking for is something like http://company.splunk.com.

I've been able to set a cname dns record, but it only seems to accept the server name. I'm wondering what I'm missing to be able to redirect both the server name and port number.
