    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have installed splunk on Linux OS which is bash version.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After installation when I have started with the command sudo /bin/sh splunk&amp;nbsp; start --accept-license&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It s throwing me a error : /bin/sh:0: cant open splunk&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;U have set the file permissions as well&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I ve also tried running sudo&amp;nbsp; ./splunk start --accept-license&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its throwing me an error Unterminated quoted string&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please advise how to p&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;LI-CODE lang="markup"&gt;splunk start --accept-license&lt;/LI-CODE&gt;&lt;P&gt;should work.&amp;nbsp; Perhaps your version of Linux ("bash" is not a version, BTW) uses systemctl.&amp;nbsp; In that case, try&lt;/P&gt;&lt;LI-CODE lang="markup"&gt;sudo systemctl start splunk&lt;/LI-CODE&gt;&lt;P&gt;See&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.0.4/Admin/StartSplunk#Start_Splunk_Enterprise_on_.2Anix" target="_blank"&gt;https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.0.4/Admin/StartSplunk#Start_Splunk_Enterprise_on_.2Anix&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
