Difference Splunk version 7.2 and 7.3

Hello All,

I just wanted to know the difference between Splunk version 7.2.0 & 7.3.0.

Also why we are moving from 7.1 (what was observed in 7.1) to 7.2.0/7.3.0.For say if you suggest 7.2.0 I would like to know why not 7.3.0.

Any suggestion are welcome.Thanks!

Splunk also releases an Overview or Essentials app (branding changed) with each release. Here's the one for 7.3 which highlights major new features: Splunk Essentials for Cloud and Enterprise 7.3
