Hello Team,

Need Help for Upgrading app and addon for Search head cluster

We have working on search head cluster and doing works on apps , if we make any change or saved some dashboard data on search head or user data on search head. Then data will also replicate to deployer server or not. If not , then we upgrade app , then it will automatically delete all app data from search head. Please share information on this .

Apps must be deployed to search head clusters using the deployer. This includes updates. See https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.3.0/Admin/Deployappsandadd-ons#Deploy_apps_to_clusters. Properly done updates will not affect user data.

Building on that, review the Choose a deployer push mode documentation. I think the setting you desire is the default_only option.
