    <description>&lt;P&gt;yes you can,&lt;BR /&gt;
just add the new one as a license slave to the existing splunk license master. on new instance:&lt;BR /&gt;
navigate to settings - &amp;gt; licensing -&amp;gt; change to slave -&amp;gt; add the license master info and port -&amp;gt; save -&amp;gt;restart&lt;BR /&gt;
now on your original license master, navigate to settings -&amp;gt; licensing -&amp;gt; scroll down and click all slaves -&amp;gt; verify your new indexer is there.&lt;BR /&gt;
from the same page you can als \o create a pool and set a license threshold for new indexer by editing pools&lt;BR /&gt;

      <title>Can two different Splunk instances use the same license server?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have one license server that my Splunk instance is using and I have another team that is going to set up their own instance and wants to use the same license server. Can I just set up a pool for them to use, or are they going to need their own license server?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also, the license server is also our deployer for the indexers ,if that makes any difference.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
