Hi,

Did you manage to configure it? Does PostFix in the Indexer Server filter e-mail events coming from the remote syslog?

Thanks.
Installation feedback on client side for Splunk for Postfix?

Attempting to install the Splunk for PostFix application, and would appreciate some installation feedback on the client side. Have installed the Splunk for PostFix application on our Splunk indexing server. Our questions is more on the client send it's postfix data. In the README.txt it mentions syslog. Do you need to enable syslog on the client to have it send information onto our Splunk indexing server? Is there any additional documenation (url links) that we could reference.

Thank you for any information that can be provided.

I managed to have Postfix /var/log/maillog events sent from the Universal Forwarder to the remote Enterprise Server.
