It will create a folder with <CODE>splunk</CODE> name. Now to start Splunk execute command,<BR /> <CODE>/path_to_splunk_folder/bin/splunk start</CODE></P> <P><CODE>.dmg</CODE> - once download is complete, you can open that file and it will guide you through setup instruction.
