How to configure Qualys TA to work with unauthenticated HTTP PROXY?

Hi,

i have followed strictly the configuration of Qualys TA, and i am trying to configure the TA to use a HTTP Proxy unauthenticated, but it just does not work at all.

in the errors logs i found the following:

> 2015-05-12 15:03:41,421 ERROR 139690053203712 - Failed to connect https://qualysapi.qualys.eu/api/2.0/fo/asset/host/vm/detection/, reason=Traceback (most recent call last):

Any idea how to fix this issue?

This was an issue with an older release of this app, it has since been resolved. The newer release of this app offers the ability to use a proxy, with, or without a user field.

Sidenote: If your proxy requires user auth, you should be able to add your Splunk server into an exclusion list if you do not wish to use proxy auth.
