Archiver - Reporting reporting messages regarding ops.json

The splunkd.log is reporting message regarding ops.json file. I can not find any references to what this file is used for.
Should I be concerned with the size of the file and the archiver performing work on the file. Based on the logs the messages started to report one month ago.

INFO Archiver - Archiving large_file=/opt/splunk/etc/system/replication/ops.json of size_in_bytes=60693118 (exceeding threshold=52428800)
