    <description>&lt;P&gt;Splunk uses HTTP 303 redirects if you call /. curl command with -L switch should have result different.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyway, since you are getting this reply, it proves that Splunk is listening port 80 and there is no firewall issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you cannot access interface outside of VM, you may check your VM network interface settings on your virtualization host.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm using a VM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did install the software correctly and I had to change the default port (8000) to the port 80.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I cant access the interface and when I make a curl command the answer is this:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"curl http://analytics_splunk:80 &amp;lt;!doctype html&amp;gt;&amp;lt;html&amp;gt;&amp;lt;head&amp;gt;&amp;lt;meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"&amp;gt;&amp;lt;meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1;url=http://analytics_splunk/en-US/"&amp;gt;&amp;lt;title&amp;gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;303 See Other&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;lt;/title&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/head&amp;gt;&amp;lt;body&amp;gt;&amp;lt;h1&amp;gt;See Other&amp;lt;/h1&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The resource has moved temporarily &amp;lt;a href="http://analytics_splunk/en-US/"&amp;gt;here&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/body&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/html&amp;gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@analytics_splunk bin]# "http://analytics_splunk/en-US/&lt;BR /&gt;"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd really need some help&lt;/P&gt;</description>
