Hi. There is no "Splunk app for Kubernetes"

Are you referring to Splunk Connect for Kubernetes?

If so can you please advise how you deployed and what the output of the metrics pod logs are?

Thanks!

It was Splunk Connect for Kubernetes. This issue turned out to be an index not being set correctly as a metrics index.

Nice! Just to validate, the Splunk side index config (indexes.conf) was set to “dataType = metric” ?
