    <description>&lt;P&gt;Just a guess, but I would look in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/search/local or SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/launcher/local. If your adding stuff via the UI, the app you added it under is going to be the context under which it will be added. That determines the location of the inputs.conf file. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Monitors not listed in inputs.conf in local</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I used the web interface to add some monitors, but I need to customize them. I opened the inputs.conf file in the local path, but the monitors are not listed. Where's the conf file for monitors added using the interface?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
