This color is set in the app's application.css in the appserver/static directory. The class you're looking for is
appHeaderWrapper
. Example:

.appHeaderWrapper {
    background-color: #003D57;
    background-image: none;
    border-bottom-style: solid;
    border-bottom-width: 0px;
}

I have multiple splunk search heads setup for two separate organizations we help support. Staff who operate in both of these worlds end up with dozens of tabs open and often overlook which instance they are in because they all end up looking the same. I would very much like to change the background color (I assume through css) of the search application's HTML header. I have done some experimentation but with little success.
