topic Can Universal Forwarders download .conf files from Deployment server? in Getting Data In

Hi All,
Is there a way we could tell the Deployment server not to push the certain types of files to Clients, even though they are placed in the app?

For example Scripts and executable files?
Or in other words, is it possible to allow UF's just download the .conf files from Deployment server?

@sanjeev543, normally these deployments apps are tiny and dedicated to the contract between the forwarder and the back-end Splunk. I'm not aware of breaking them down to what is sent to the forwarder and what is not.

No you cant,

create the app that you would like with the .conf files you are interested in. and push to forwarders.
create separate apps (and separate server-classes if needed) and deploy as you see fit
