I am using Splunk Cloud Trial version and I am trying out the curl to access REST APIs.However any data I need, I need to provide localhost rather than my splunk cloud url.Why is that?

I tried giving my credentials for the Splunk cloud along with my splunk account url but I get the message "resource moved".However it works just fine when I use localhost with my admin credentials.
