I was trying to download the universal forwarder for windows 7 32 bit OS, but i can see only windows 8, 8.1, 10 OS.

Is Splunk supporting windows 7? If I will download universal forwarder for windows 8. Will it take the data from window 7 system?

My home desktop is running Windows 7 and I currently have a 64bit UF installed on it with no issues.

Last version of Universal Forwarder supported by Splunk for Windows 7 32 bits is 6.4.6 (https://www.splunk.com/page/download_track?file=6.4.6/windows/splunkforwarder-6.4.6-6635aa31e851-x86-release.msi&platform=Windows&architecture=x86&version=6.4.6&product=universalforwarder&typed=release&name=windows_installer)
I Think that version 6.5.2 will run but if you'll have problems Splunk will not support you.

@niketnilay: I tried that link and able to download the universal forwarder. After installation, I am getting data as well from that System.

@twh1 Glad it worked...sooner you move to 64 bit the better 🙂 . 32 bit Universal Forwarder will not support forwarding of Network Monitor data.

Only versions 7 and 8 are showing or earlier versions - the link above to version 6.4.6 is good. Repeated here:

Just be aware - it is not an official download link (Splunk doesn't support and officially share such old products). It might stop working at any time.
