topic Nagios or Net-SNMP in Getting Data In

Hi
I'll start to work with SNMP and before start i would ask your advices.
We are using Splunk as an unique interface to display all monitoring informations.
I'll start to work with the Brocade SAN Core-Switchs. I want some informations, usning snmp.
Will need a SNMP deamon on my Splunk server to speak with my switchs.
Im on Windows so i thought to Net-SNMP, but I saw there is a Nagios4Splunk app.
So maybe using Nagios as SNMP deamon to get all informations and next send them all to Splunk via the existing app would be easier/better.

What do you think?
