According to Wikipedia SunOS 5.1 is equivalent to Solaris version 2.1 for which Operating System support ended in 1999... 4 years before Splunk was founded. You're not going to find an officially supported UF for that operating system, so if upgrading the OS is not an option you may want to contact Splunk Professional Services to see if they have recommendations of ways to get the data you want from the box.

Hello Splunkers.

Do you guys know wich Splunk Universal Forwarder version I should use on the following machine:

Solaris SunOS 5.1 SPARC - 64bits

The versions avaiable for Solaris are:

OS version
Solaris 8, 9, 10 (SPARC)
Release Notes

splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-solaris-11-sparc.p5p
splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-SunOS10-sparc.tar.Z
splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-SunOS-sparc.tar.Z
splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-solaris-8-sparc.pkg.Z
splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-solaris-10-sparc.pkg.Z
OS version
Solaris 9, 10 (64-bit)
Release Notes

splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-SunOS-x86_64.tar.Z
splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-solaris-10-intel.pkg.Z

I' downloaded and installed the following version on a test machine:

splunkforwarder-6.2.6-274160-SunOS-sparc.tar.Z

However, two days later I started to receive memory swaping errors (can't tell if it was caused by the forwarder).

Thank you all!
Best regards
