&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;-et &amp;lt;string&amp;gt;            Earliest time (required).  Either a UTC time (integer since unix epoch) 
                                        or a Splunk search relative time string [1].

-lt &amp;lt;string&amp;gt;            Latest time (required).  Either a UTC time (integer since unix epoch) 
                                        or a Splunk search relative time string [1].
