Try logging in as a local admin to the machine. Not a domain account. I have seen this happen when UAC is involved.

I'm having a strange problem where I can't get the universal forwarder to install on a Windows 2k8R2 box. Even installing using "Run As Administrator," it gets to the end, but then says that I don't have permission to install services (even though I know I do) and rolls back. What might be preventing the forwarder from installing?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
